I put a Grapefruit patina on my BK10 :)

Very nice patina. It came out very well I think.

Just about the neatest patina I've seen. Very nice. It really looks good on the 10.

Thank You for the kind words:cool::thumbup: I think this will help slow down rust. On my SR101 the grapefruit patina works great for slowing down the rust.

I want to use this knife on my boat. I think it would be a great boating knife.

Thank You
Al

Looks great. Does anyone know if these citrus patinas endure rough wood use, or do they wear off from batoning ?

I really like that patina! I may have to try it on one of my BK2's. Thanks for posting!

Reminds me a little of galvanized steel:

Totally cool,

Kind of like poor man's Damascus. I like it.

Did you strip it first? Or just shove it in the fruit?

The BK 10 came bare, so I sliced up grapefruit and sandwiched it between round slices, 3/4" thick.
Thank You
Al
