I Quit!!!!

Oh my god! I remember in those good early ancient days knives used to be so simple, u just pick a hard stone and throw it into pieces and there u go. But then some clown found the evil things called metal and BANGGGG our simple knives are made of bronze, iron, steel... Things became so complicated! Now I decide to give up all these BSs and go outside to find a nice stone for my future lifelong usage.

You could do worse. Some scientists from the Smithsonian lucked into a dead elephant from the National Zoo, trucked it down to Front Royal, and butchered it with stone knives. They reported that the knives not only did a good job but were self sharpening. Obsidian flakes were also used in eye surgery within the last 30 years or so. They had the sharpest edge obtainable at the time.

Nativecajun,

You went back almost 8 years to piggy-back for your first post???:D

LOL

.We crave maintenance and imperfection to draw us closer to our knives, yet gravitate to the ones that don’t need us to take care of them.QUOTE]

I love that line. It seems up the whole using/collecting thing. Awesome!!

Good luck on your journey. I doubt you will be lacking using traditional knives. They worked for a very long time and still do. I always carry a slippie along with another knife. Now if my Benchmade Seibert MPR would just get here.:D

Hi Runs With Scissors -

Our grandfathers and great grandfathers were trying newer technology when they were using the folding knives of all the varying patterns.

The nice thing is that there is plenty of room for everyone in the knife hobby.

I don't even want to go into the paying member issue.

best regards -

That journey was over seven years ago. Nativecajun57 did some thread necromancy.
