Good job. High carbon steels take a much crisper edge with more bite than stainless. Now all ya need to do is get some puukos or leukkos and you'll be set.

Yeah, congrats. Very impressive. Could you share what you did or used to get that edge?
Thanks!

I used a diamond stone to get a bead. Then ceramic sticks ,coarse and fine. Once it got it to where it wouldnt get any sharper, I then stropped it with the cover of a Bassmaster magazine. Used about 150 strokes per side with the shiny magazine cover.

Great work - I remember the feeling well! No need to excuse you at all.

In fact, IIRC, my first post here was saying that I had just achieved that level of sharpness on a Bark River Fox River.

My trouble is now I know I can do it on a couple of my knives, I have to try ti on them all.

Got a Busse Heavy Heart FSH to do it last night! It needed touching up after a lot of batoning a few weeks ago - it's now the sharpest it's ever been.

Congratulations!!!

I now have three knives that sharp. All carbon kitchen knives. Now I have to try it on a stainless.

Gonna make an order with SMKW and get a Mora. See what I can do with it.

Congrats

I've actually yet to encounter a blade or a steel that I can't get to whittle hair. But I do find the harder steels to be easier, no floppy burrs. My Spyderco 52100 Mule at 62 RC takes the crispest edge of all the knives I have.
