That is a beautiful knife man...

I've got a Benchmade 42 and just recently acquired my Griptilian (551). I'd say Benchmade makes great knives, and their service is amazing as well.

As for custom knife makers, like others have said, try posting a "wanted" ad on here, or searching around on Google

Benchmade makes good knives and there are a LOT to choose from. A nice thing too is the griptilian series has a lot of custom scales available. I haven't had any dealings with their customer service, but at the same time I haven't heard anything negative about it.

I contacted them about a stripped screw on a mini grip and I had an email back in 10 minutes and new screws and a pocket clip at my door within three days, I was pretty happy.

To join in with mishaps with screws -

I was flipping my BM42 around and one of the screw fell out (I didn't own the proper tools to tighten it at the time) and it was lost. Benchmade sent me two screws for each screw on the knife without hesitation.

There's a lot more examples of their awesomeness on their Testimonials page

I love the design of their gold class knives. They are beautiful. Example: http://www.benchmade.com/products/180DM

Can anyone give me some short information on how good benchmade is? Which other companies have something similar to this gold class?

Edit:

Can anyone recommend me a custom knife under 200 dollars that is well worth the price? It doesn't matter if it's used as long as it's not very damaged. I'm not asking because I'm lazy I'm asking because I have no experience and I don't want to make a poor decision. Thanks though if you help me out :)

I would never even consider a $800 msrp Benchmade knife.

Now, as for $200 fixed blade customs, you can get all kind of customs for that.

What do you plan on doing with this knife?

Big MIke
