I really suck at Sharpening HELP!

Sharpening Success! Used the knife a few time today seems to be cutting great again!

Thanks!

knife11-- glad to hear about your sharpening success. It's really frustrating when you can't get your knife as sharp as you'd like.

The lesson is that it takes a loooong time to restore a badly worn edge using a ceramic hone. With a hard tool steel like M2 it will seem like forever. By the way, did you put your final edge on using only the 20-degree settings? If you did your cutting performance on stiffer material like cardboard may be significantly reduced from the factory edge. You may want to do some back beveling at 15-degrees. That will take forever.

I did use the back bevel... I'm not sue if I did it enough, but it seems to be cutting normally :)
