  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I require assistance.....

Lee D, Yea I carry a SAK something or another I don't know but it works. What do you use?

I edc a small Fallkniven SK3 and SAK farmer in a KSF pocket sheath, have a folding saw and Leatherman in my pack, and both the Junglas and F1 are lashed to it. if i plan to stay for more than a couple nights i also throw in a boy's axe.

I perfect setup IMO

Welcome to bf fellow newfie here you really don't need a massive knife all I ever take is my laplander spyderco endura small sub 4inch fixed blade and a camp Axe .

mountainmist, I think someone is just a bit of a Becker Head lol, hope the cut heals quick bro and nice set setup (the silky saw got me all jealous). Lee D, Very nice depending for how long I go my kit goes Opinel 8, Mora clipper, Laplander and my boys axe but if Im going for longer ill take my cold steel GI Tanto (reprofiled sightly) the reason I made this thread was because most people around me were selling their saws, and axes and buying huge expensive knives like Beckers and Kabars but my little $25 GI tanto will suffice for me even though I hardly carry it ever because Im minimalist :) . Any opinions on the GI tanto or diy sheaths for axes no leather or kydex? Thanks everyone Im already smarter!

McVeyMac, No too heavy really I only really carry large knives for protection and earlier I meant to say I don't bring the axe on longer stays to reduce weight. Tobin420, Hey another Newfie you wouldn't be from the Burin Peninsula would ya? and we are in the same boat for gear I just can't afford the spyderco lol :D

Thanks! It was just a scratch on the finger compared to what I did to my head with a spike 'hawk last week! And I don't have the silky yet! lol but I will in a couple of weeks!

The Kid
