I rest my Case (lockbacks, that is!)

I really like that black handled one in the OP! Good looking knife! I'm also interested in the mini-copperlock. That could be a real nice one.

I enjoy the mini and full size copperlocks quite a bit. Here is a thread I started a couple Christmases ago. I ended up doing three of these, the one that ended up being mine was gifted to good ol' Gary Graley for helping me out with a knife.

Take care-

Indeed you did and she rides with me most days, I gave the bolsters a brushed finish which is a little easier to maintain, but she be sharp!

I found this one today in an antique store.

[/IMG]It was priced so low I couldn't pass it up. Stag handle with 3 other blades unused in belt pouch with paperwork!

Gary, what did you use to get the brushed finish? I really like that. I have been getting a lot of the Carhartt branded patterns because I like the as ground blade and the brushed bolsters. I would prefer to have a Case badge on my Case knives though. I have a caramel bone trapper with the as ground blade, which is nice. Even if the color is more red than brown...

Thanks, just used a small thumb sized piece of fine sand paper, about 1000 grit or so and just rubbed straight from bone to end, keeping it straight as you can.

More nice Case LBs!

Woodrow F., you have a good eye---the black 21051 in my OP really is nice. I wasn't familiar with the model till I saw a pic somewhere online and then hunted one down!

BTM, I like your sig line. ("Few friends better than a good dog and a good knife.")

i’ve got a bit of a mystery. I’ve never seen a case lock back this tricked out in the action is surprisingly rough for a case, thoughts?

Looks like you found one that someone gussied up. What a cool knife!

There are a number of folks here that do various types of work like this.

I like Russlocks...except for cat vomit green or whatever they call that ...I darkened it on one side...I should do the other.
Cheers. This thread is a trip down memory lane.😁

Yep. Just rehandled and file worked. Looks neat.
I’ve done some research and can’t find a similar Case so when you say rehandled I’m guessing the stag scales are aftermarket?
Also does the LSSP Stamp indicate the type of steel used?
