....by making my own chisels. Ah, it's great to be a tool maker. :D

The steel is A2, the handles are osage orange, the ferrules are copper pipe.

If you had asked me I would have told you to use A-2 !

Great minds think alike. A-2 (sorry, not A2 :D)was the obvious choice. Tough, wear resistant, darned simple to heat treat, (for me). And I had it in PG stock.

Very nice. I want to save 200 dollars now... but i have to go spend some :(

Well, spending money can be as much fun as saving it, depending on what it is you're buying. :)

BTW, I'll probably get some ivory from that website you suggested. The design for my project has evolved some, and I think it's exactly what I need, so, thanks again. :)

Would you be willing to do a little tutorial on how you made these? Oddly enough I was outside today using our cheap chisels that seem to do more harm that good and started thinking about trying to make my own. I would love to see the process in making one.

Those are really cool chisels. I also love the HT colors left on and would love to see a tutorial on this from you.

I thought you were going to say that you'd saved between 2 and 3 hundred dollars....

....by switching to Geico. :D

Your method is cooler.

Those are sharp, don't you just love a good pun. :) You did a great job on those Philp, very nice indeed.
