I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream...More Saddlehorns!

I like the detailing of the blades, instead of just so plain as many designs are. They've been fairly rare to see at any dealers around here so haven't gotten to handle any in person.

A mixture of old and newer Art Deco Saddlehorns: Across the top is a Case/Bose collaboration. Left to right is an Empire Winsted, an American Knife Winsted, a Shapleigh D-E, an Empire Stainless Fishing version (note scaler back), another Empire Winsted and a Tony Bose prototype!

Interesting, not too many lockback saddles out there.

Interesting that the F&F/grind on the Bose looks rather rough to me compared to those old knives..--KV

I've had (4) late model Case Saddlehorns - 2 double blades, 2 single blades. I like the pattern - feels tood in the hand. However, without exception, every one of the 4 I owned had perceptible lateral blade wobble - it was noticeable, and annoying to the point where I sold 3 of them. We see this in old worn out or abused knives, but I hardly ever see this on new or nearly new Case's in any other pattern. I don't know why that is, but 3 strikes and I'm out with saddlehorns. The one I kept, I modded the butterknife blade into a sheepsfoot - much more useful for what I use a jack knife for ... just wish it didn't have that swedge grind - looks odd on a sheepsfoot

I like the saddlehorn design. I've got a couple of others that I'll have to take pics of at some point. This one is unusual for me in that I bought it purely for the handles. Normally I buy the pattern first, handle second. I had never seen this ginger ale bone before and just love it. I had to have it :D

Well..the new one has arrived! With the sawcut jig finish in the Dark Molasses Bone, Case absolutely NAILED it with this new saddle horn. Fit and finish and the snap is good too. I love the coloring, perfect for a saddlehorn. My crummy photos doesn't do it justice. THANK YOU CASE!
