I screwed up my AFCK HELP!!!

I got an E-mail from Angie at BM. The Stop pin screw will be sent out to me free of charge on Friday :)

I am from Monterrey N.L. México and I have the same problem the screw of the clip/latch of my BM31 is damage so I asked for one screw and I am waiting for it.

I am sure that BM has a good customer service department, so we need to give them some time.

BM got a bad lot of spacers some time ago. They'll be happy to replace that for you.

They were far from happy to replace the bad spacer on my mini-afck. I offered to pay for the part and the shipping and they still insisted I send the knife, refusing to send me the part. I haven't bought a Benchmade since. I don't want to have to send a knife out of the country for weeks just to replace a very simple plastic part that shouldn't have broken in the first place. It's like having to send your car back to Detroit to have a flat fixed....

I know this is late in the game but one thing that usually works on s tripped out Torx is to use a similar sized Allen Wrench.

Many times when a Torx strips it rips out the "Star" pattern and creates a hexagon. Not a good long term solution but can keep you up and running until you find a replacement.

You can buy small torx screws used in knifemaking from www.texasknives.com, most companies use the same sizes they sell.

Well guys, Angie From BEnchmade called me today and verified that she will ship me the screws out. But they can't send me a spacer:( Oh well. I already clued that and really needed the screws the most. So it looks like all is well. Now I just have to hope they make it thru the Sh-tty Mail service in my area around the holidays:)

Of course they couldn't send a spacer, that is a highly technical replacement! Not just anybody could do it. You actually have to remove the scales and take out the screws that hold the two halves together, very, very difficult. ;)

Actually they won't send you a spacer because you have VOIDED your warranty already by needing that screw! Bwa Ha Ha Ha:p :p :D

You poor bastid;)

My AFCK Has stripped screw holes, broken spacer, the wrong pocket clip, the wrong screws, and a nut,(not me;) )on the end of an extra long screw, think I voided the warranty?

Doesn't matter I love it anyway it's been through a lot with me.

What if you were to pilage and plunder a couple of cheap knives for parts.I know there are an abundance of 5 dollar knives out there and with a little ingenuity you could find the right one or two and piratize them. This is the best thing about low end crap at the worst your out a couple bucks or you gained a beater.:D Good luck........RB
