I see more Large Sebenzas for sale than Small

Thanks for the kind words jsun and climber (everyone should have such a hard time picking an EDC, right?)

I would say that Ken Onion, Kit Carson, Tom Mayo, Scott Cook and Mike Obenauf have the talent and dedication to their craft to create a knife that is close to perfect, based on the samples I have in my collection. I'm sure there are others as well.

Hmm nice....could you post pics of those customs too? :)

I only have a couple of those 5 mentioned right now (and on the list of a third).....Onions, however seem outta reach :(

I've had my fair share of both. All I'll say is that the Sebenza is the most consistently constructed knife I've ever seen. I would also add that the large Evolution framelock by J.W. Smith is the equal of all the Sebbies I have.:D

I think that's what attracts most of us to the Sebbie. It's kind of a beauty=function thing.

I'll have to agree that the 3.5" blade is more than enough sometimes. I have a large cocobolo Sebbie that I love, but when I carry my 3" blade JW Smith, I don't ever wish I'd brought a larger blade. For small folder work, 3" can get the job done in my case.

Hey MBE, what type of Smith you got? If a framelock, how do you think it compares to a sebbie?

Btw, I know we are going a little OT, but after this talk I just had to pull out my large JWS Evolution...........man, it is as fine as I remember it being!! :D
