I am usually on top of things when I ship items out. One time in the past I sent the wrong scales to two people. I did of course fix things but still it made me feel like I need to pay better attention.
Today I found I made an even bigger mistake. I sold a Sebenza 25 last week for 431$ to Prestige. An honest and stand up member. Which I try to be myself so I feel very bad. I mail out around 6-12 packages a week at any given two times.
The day I mailed his knife I also mailed out 3 boxes of handles, 2 dissecting kits and the 25. I managed to send a dissecting kit for frogs and small varmin to him instead and the 25 to another person who payed for the 11$ kit.
Issuing an immediate refund is the obvious part. But it is still embarrassing.

I promise in the future to be more organized and not let something like this happen again and that goes for all transactions. I let things weigh on me a bit to much. And in this case, I will make it positive.
I did take care of this all by email a little while ago , but just making a point that is pays to take your time and be organized . I am getting there.
Thanks for being understanding Prestige.
Matt

Avoiding mistakes isn't the essence of a good person or good business, how you handle them is. Seeing this makes me confident that if I do business with you I won't regret it.

mistakes happen- as long as you do what you need to to rectify the situation- you get a valuable lesson out of the deal with only time and a few bucks lost- that is assuming the person you sent the sebenza to returned it without issue. i hope they did the right thing as well since that would also speak highly to that person's character... good luck with the situation, matt!

I may or may not get the 25 back. I did email the guy, but he is not a member here. He simply contacted me by getting a business card from a purchase at bladehq. If it is a loss for me that is the price to pay for not being more careful. In the end all that matters is Prestige gets his refund and he will allow me to work with him on projects we discussed. Although one of those were customizing the 25 we can still do the fixed blade for now.
If all goes well, i offered to send the 25 to him to inspect after I get it back and he can offer what he feels is fair at that point and whatever hopefully unused condition it is in when it gets home to me. But that is to be discussed later in email, that is all I can say.
Take care guys.
Matt

Yes sir.. it is how you handle things when the chips are down. That is what defines a good man and business owner.

Your not kidding there. Its no fun being blue. I am going to go update that puppy. I just need to find where. It has been a year lol.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Full refund was issued and we are in contact by email in a healthy and happy manner.
Matt

Whoops, you aren't orange anymore either.

Mistakes happen man. I hope that guy who received your 25 is an honest trust worthy dude and hopefully will ship it back to you immediately. I know from doing past buisness with you in the past that you try your hardest to run a good straight forward, honest buisness. Matt is one of the nicest guys i have done buisness with since joining the knife community. Hopefully everything works out ok and you get the knife back and shipped to the right guy. GL.

Thanks Kyle. It was my pleasure.
I also go that Dice scale in to finish the template for the new handle line.
Thanks again, shoot me an email with return shipping.

Hope you don't have any trouble getting the knife returned. You made a mistake and took responsibility for it; that is all you can do.

You might want to start putting a copy of the invoice with all your packages.
Then you can make sure the recipient/address, items, and invoice all correspond with each other.

The refund is received. We had very enjoyable conversation over email and the problem was sorted out immediately. I do not feel the need to make this case public. BellaBlades, please don't feel bad about this. Everything is cool. Just forget it. No biggie. I hope the knife gets returned.
