I took some glamour shots of my Aurora the other day to test my light box.

I shaped my sheath recently and protected it. I want to thank Gossman Knives in particular for the advice of using Kiwi Neutral Shoe Polish. It looks great - and I think it works perfectly.

Seriously! You know what I did - I looked through all of the pictures - saved the ones to my hard drive that I liked - and then scrolled through them until I narrowed it down.

Excellent job on the sheath Talfuchre. That looks like some precision shaping.

Cjag - it became fairly arbitrary at three or four I agree. I just went with what looked good to me at the time.

I may like a more matte finish in the future though - more grippy.

Mentor - it was really easy. I just wet it some - shaped it with my thumbs - held it as I used a hair dryer and then set it in the sun to dry.

I protected the blade with tape and plastic.

Can you elaborate a little bit on how to shape a sheath like that?

I really like the way it turned out.
 
Wrap your knife in your in cellophane - wet the mess out of the sheath and then use your thumbs (trim your nails) to make the leather sheath wrap around the knife. Once you have it the way you want it - take out the knife and then let it dry.

Use neutral Shoe Polish (Kiwi) to finish it off.

Very nice TF... The Aurora has always struck me as a nice blade. The scales on yours look very cool.

Hey TF, you care to elaborate on how you constructed your lightbox? Its something I really need to make...
