I shaved my butt...

I like your mods Tom. This is a great idea to lighten it. Bk2 still looks like a bk2 but less weight in body, more beckerhead chopping

Thank you very much to all who posted replies and all the nice comments. I really appreciate it.

Excellent job. You are enough of a perfectionist to do top quality work.

I think you'll find that you get less "felt" vibration when you chop with it. I'd like to hear if that's the case. Did you make the 2x72? If so, I'd love to see your plans on it.

great job on the deuce
randy

Glad you like the grinder. The plans on the 72"er are in my head. After I die, you can have my brain. I'm an organ donor, so it should be no problem to get it. Careful though, I think OCD is just like Mad Cow and you can get it if exposed to it. :D

i think you voided your warranty dude :)

now, is a paracord wrap lighter than the handles? more chopping?

i'm wondering if an accessory handle bolt on to add 6-9 inches, possibly with a curve to fake a Machax ;) would make an interesting chopper...

Paracord absorbs water. Not cool with 1095. Plus I love the handle shape as is.

I'm still looking for that laser sight for my other knife as you suggested.

Hey Tom Gannon......

My, my ain't that some pretty work.......A mod with a purpose.....When it warms up a bit I really want to know your impression of how it changes the"chop".......Loverly work there Mr. Tom......

All Best....

Mr. Becker Sir....
Glad you like it. When it warms up, I can't wait to put it to task and report back. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Cheers,
Tom

Tag, I swear you're like my new hero:D

not just for your craftsmanship but more so In hope you'll send me your design/specs for you homemade madness (grinder)... VERY NICE !!
Thank you for the kind words. Grinder was fun to make, no plans though. Never are any. It's all in my noggin and I work from there. I'm odd that way.

please do a how to on the jimping, that is freaking sweet!
I'll do a short YouTube video on the jimping. That is when I feel I can rob from myself and have another project knife. I need to pace myself. $ does not grow on trees, especially in the dead of winter.:)

I'm just thankful I didn't get an eyeful when I opened this thread. :D
Other than that, I was really impressed by the mods.

Nice clean work. I would be curious to see if the handle reduction has any real impact on reliability / durability.

Cool idea Tom ....but why didn't you just use your esee 5 to baton the steel out of the handle :-) ... O yeah you already tried that ....awesome workmanship on the 2 I really like the home made grinder too might have to make something like that myself. Keep up the good work and nice pics.

I know you said you didn't have any plans for the 2x72 but is there any way you could possibly take a few more pictures and maybe give some measurements?
