Nice ordered mine with Black canvas handles I hope they can do the hand shaped handles that I asked for.

You would need to call the shop and ask if they can make the request happen. Handshaped g10 and micarta is an upcharge (if they can do it for you). The cost depends on the knife.

The factory grips "on all models" are all machined with kinda sharp texturing. you can have hand smoothed scales put on for a small fee which thins out the grips a little, removes the texturing and gives a nice smooth buttery feel to your bacon blade.

Ah, I see! Good to know, thanks. I'm 75% convinced haha I am debating black/orange handle and black blade or tan canvas and grey blade.
 
Can't wait for a few pics to start appearing so I can actually make my color option decisions!!! Too bad they don't have the type of site that let's you see what the color combos look like when you order!
 
All of the Bussekin I've ordered directly are Tan Canvas/Tanker blade.
It's just the most appealing to me, looks less jellybean more lean and mean.

They've all ended up strippers so far too, and a Tanker Gray tang and pommel go really well with high polish metal IMO.
 
I've just got one more (I think) newbie question. It looks like the SOBs come with the brick pattern on the handle. Is that true? Is that something I could request to have taken off, or changed, without a huge upcharge? I emailed them at the info email address but haven't heard back.

Have no regrets, Crixus. There's nothing but goodness at the Swamp. My advice to you is if you want to buy INFI, save your money and get the biggest blade you can. There's nothing quite like an INFI chopper! :)

That's kind of what I was thinking. Seems like it'd be better to wait for a bigun as a first INFI Busse.
 
Never wait. Many learned this recently when the TGLB and AMS sold out.
