I ordered a new TGLB from Busse, a Demko AD-10, and an BM Adamas. I won't recieve the first two for some time and my bank account hates me right now. I didn't need any of these, but I WANTED them. How do you guys make yourself feel better when you do this. Usually I buy more knives to make myself feel better so that's out.

I'm getting married in about a year so my usual excuse is I need to get all these purchasing out of the way before sharing a bank account with someone.

Just think of all the weeks you didn't buy any knives.

A bit OT, but you really don't want to share your bank account with anyone, married or not.

Since those knives have high demand and near-non-existent depreciation, just tell yourself that you can sell them with little to no loss any time.

I spent a lot too, but not that much. You'll be happy once you get to play with your toys

Thanks guys, feeling better already. I'm not too keen on the account sharing either. Any of you married guys make this work?

I guess you be selling them in a year .

No, no, no. As far as she knows, pocket knives and such cost 40-50 bucks and I plan to keep it that way. The AD-10 is my all-time grail knife, so some may come and go, but not that one.

"I spent too much on knives this week..."

That could be said just about every week!

If you can't share a bank account with your wife . what make you think you can share the rest of your life with her .

That's what I needed to hear FCM415! I know I'm not the only one out there!

I really don't understand not wanting to share an account... When you commit to marring and agree that you will share your life, the account seems like small potatoes to me... I trust my wife with my life and my children's life, I couldn't imagine not trusting her with our money...

BTW, you are the only person who can tell if you spent too much... maybe you need to determine what your budget is for buying and set funds aside accordingly...

One key to a happy marriage, is not sharing a bank account.
.....
Unless she's far more wealthy, or you are quiet wealthy

My most expensive knife was about 210 and as soon as I bought it I told my wife all she said was . But the kids need diapers . Oppppps

Well, you gotta exit the dollar, and invest in "precious metals" before Ben Bernanke devalues it to nothing, right? :p
