Thanks for the heads up. That is very cool... I just looked at the pictures on KW. It is basically $25 more than ordering from the Custom Build program, but with G-10 and upgraded steel, I think it is worth it...Although I would rather have CF. Some of us are never happy :D I am glad they keep the same basic shape of the scales, and added the texturing that is rather symbolic to Griptilians IMHO

I'm in for a 556 :D

I believe anything with the -1 is an unlimited "sprint" run like the 940-1, 484-1. When they attach a year to the suffix like -1501 then it's typically limited to a certain number of pieces and that's it.

Great to see BM putting out a grip with G10 scales. But I, personally, don't like the color combo...

Not a huge fan. Even though it has g10 which I prefer, I would still rather have a ritter grip for the price

This is a game changer.

Yawn

It would of been better if they added M390 (preferred) or CPM-20CV (less preferred, don’t care if it’s US made) and G10 scale options to their “Custom Knife Configurator” for the grip section.. Hopefully that won’t be too far into the future.

Yup, I’m going to pass as well..

Dislike the opposing scale color combo / blue standoffs. M390 would of been preferred also. I would rather pick-up a larger Ritter in M390 and choose from the extensive scale aftermarket.. In fact, I just might do so ;)

Personally I think it is very cool that BM did this... People have been complaining for years about the scales, and it is usually the same comment...
"If they made these with G-10 or CF scales, with upgraded steel, I would be all over it "... Now that they have actually done it, there are already people who aren't happy, but that will always be the case. You can't please everyone.

I understand that some won't like the color, the steel, or the different colored liners, but hey people, at least BM listened and is trying...

I'm sure if this goes over well, they will expand the market, and offer more choices, but at least it's a start.
I do agree it would be great if they added the G-10 and possibly CF scale options to the Custom Build Program

If a person orders from the Custom site, or buys a Ritter and then adds aftermarket scales, that will put the price of the knife at roughly $220-$250, so this isn't a bad buy.

I'm guessing a regular production item, because other dealers have pre-orders on their websites as well...

Checked on a couple of other sites and didn't see them listed, also checked on the Benchmade site and didn't see them as well. Beside KW, where did you see them listed?

I'm in as well. Love the mini grips. M390 Ritter was step in the right direction. This is the knife the mini-grip was always meant to be (in regular production that is).

GPKnives is showing pre-order. (Can I say that? My bad if not. I can remove it)

Yes GP Knives are a BF supporting dealer as is KW. You can mention whoever but hot linking is only allowed for supporting dealers.

Wow. I just got the tweet from Benchmade about this. Nice.

I love the color combo. I may have to sell a set of Wilkins scales to get one of these.

You do realize that CPM-20CV, CTS-204P, and BU-M390 is all just about the exact same thing right? HOw can it less preferred when it's the same thing? Not like anyone can really tell the difference between the 3 in a blind test.
