Well it was nice to check out the Store Forum ... it certainly filled a void ... and I am as suprised as many at how much I found I missed this place .... still it was good to see some familiar faces on the other site .... felt almost like you had wandered into a bar and bumped in to a lot of old mates ....:)

As to the BWM LE .... great photo Richstag .... I got the chance to use mine briefly late Sunday afternoon .... very impressed with it .... I was de- limbing some branches for a fire and went through one after getting the blade hooked up on a knot .... the knife followed through and caught a large flat stone hidden under old leaves .... I thought I would have damaged the edge a fair bit given the crack it took .... worried I put the torch on the edge to check it .... just a bit of minor rolling .... came back on line with a steel no problem  It was as sharp at the end of the session as it was at the beginning .... don't you just love Infi ;):D

The BWM LE is fast becoming my favourite knife for "balance-feel-and looks" ... it really has it all ... ( poor indoor pic ... but it still looks cool )

That's great to hear. Just playing around with it I feel it is becoming a favorite of mine. INFI sure is amazing and thanks for the pic.

Man, was I freaking out. I must have checked 100 times to see if the site was back up.

I totally forgot about busse combat forum it has been so long since I remember going there.

Here, these are my EDC's. Nothing fancy or really special. (That Buck Cross lock is about 20 years old, and I ground the edge and tip off for my 4 year old. Now he can carry a knife and help me cut stuff, and make sheaths etc. Some times he sleeps with it).

When he is older, I will give him a Busse with an edge.

T, that is really cool that you modded that knife for your boy. I might steal your idea and do the same. My 4 year old absolutely loves my knives and would probably die if he had his own. Of course his mom might die too, or kill me, but I'm going to try.

He just about had a fit of joy when I did it. He had been grabbing butter knives, etc and pretending to have a knife to help me. At my last place, whenever I trimmed the trees etc, he would try and help. That knife was my first liner lock, I carried it for a few years. I stopped using it when I bought some with stouter locks (that old liner from Is not one you would ever want to trust not to fold like a limp noodle. My brother severed the tendon on his right thumb with his by putting a tad of pressure on the spine while using it).

Sure made My kid the happiest I had seen in a while. He will sit down with me anytime I am working on a sheath etc, and pretend to cut leather, and string etc. He keeps it on his pocket like a real knife. It also helps to teach him proper knife handling. He knows not to touch the edge of a real knife, and how to close a liner lock without getting his fingers in the way.

He has seen his old man get stitches twice now, and knows sharp knives are not toys (first time I was worried I had nicked a tendon.......FBMLE........2nd time I actually severed the nerve in my right thumb......first home made knife......sharper than sharp).

I just used a grinder, and it took me a minute or less. I had not used the knife in way more than a decade.
