I still always grab a RAT...

Personally, I'd hate to see this thread turn into another is "Busse worth it" one, that one ran away on W&SS and no need to duplicate it here. This thread is a celebration of RatCutlery blades - great blades at a user price. Maybe we can keep it that way!!

Yes! My thoughts exactly - thank you kgd!

Being a flashaholic first, and blade junky second (blasphemy I know), I always think of RAT Cutlery blades as pretty much the equivalent to Malkoff Devices drop-ins - superior quality product, made in USA, excellent bang for the buck and run by stand-up gentleman.

I own a crap load of Surefire (which I do love) but, a lot of the time I still grab my G2 with a Malkoff :D

Functionality is just a hard thing to beat!

I like the RC-4 so much, I ordered two more of them. I will give one of them to my daughter in the Air Force. The RC-4 is just big enough to be useful for baton work and small enough for easy carry. It's a high quality knife at a fair price. And my new HEST is destined to be my hiking knife.

Ditto on my new H.E.S.T.

I've got at least one of all the R.A.T. knives ... except the -5. And I'm starting to weaken on that one, too.;)

Great knives, great prices, good people.

I can see that my post seemed a bit of product A VS product B, sorry. I was not trying to turn it into a possible flame thread or a "Is a Busse worth it?" kind of thread.

Bottom line is that Rats are great users and look good doing it. I feel they are a blade for the knife enthusiast as well as for persons that need a knife for work, hunting etc.

I give them :thumbup::thumbup:.

I totally agree, I will be headed down to the South San Juan Wilderness area and I am taking Izula,RC 4,H.E.S.T. and my trusty BR Fox River. Four Knives and three are Rats.

To the OP, I am in the exact same boat. My RATs see the most (ab)use, and they get prettier after every time out.
