I Sure Wish CRK Would Make One Of These!

Well, yes, i have seen a few Mnandis with mammoth ivory inlays, but i have 2 problems, first, the Mnandi is WAY too small for my large hands, so, for that reason, i would really like it if CR would make a large Sebenza with mammoth ivory inlays.

Secondly, I did see one Mnandi which had decent mammoth ivory, the color wasnt bad, and it had some character, but most of the ivory inlays I have seen from CR just dont seem to have the really top notch ivory im looking for, so, what I'm getting at is...If CR would start making large Sebenzas with deep blue mammoth ivory with great color and character, i would be all over it like a cheap suit, though i realize there would be nothing cheap about it. :)

Dude,

Have you asked CRK whether it would be feasible to make a seb with MI inlays?

I'm interested in a blue mammoth ivory Mnandi, left handed. Today I received an e-mail from Bridget quoting $475.00 and a 3-6 month wait. I thought that was a very good price. I said sure put me on that list. The price seems low, I was expecting $800, but if I remember correctly, those also had the gold inlay with the diamond. I have small hands and the Mnandi fits me fine.  ;) :D

Scott - no no I am not listening, I do NOT need any more ideas of CRK knives to order

Harvey, THIS IS YOUR SUBCONCIOUS SPEAKING.

BUY MORE CRK's :D :D :p :p

CRK will use any sustainable natural material(i.e. not micarta or CF) for an inlay. You can even send them a "choice" piece to work with. I just recieced my new sm. seb. back from CRK. As always, the service was top notch. I asked too many questions about my new truly unique sebenza, and Bridget was there for every answer.

When I get it I will post some pics. Then you can enjoy it vicariously. But seriously, put it on the credit card and pay it off $25/month. Enjoy the knife for the rest of your life! ;) :D ;)

So, what you guys are saying is, i should find and buy my own piece of blue mammoth ivory and send it to CR to make me a Sebenza. Problem is, how do i know exactly what dimensions to buy? I suppose i should call CR to find out, then the problem is, who sells large slabs of high-end ivory at a reasonable price?

Ill say it again though, a large Sebenza with deep blue MI inlays would be KILLER! Question is, blue or bronze stud? Because a nice piece of MI will have both brown and blue, decisions...

Oh, by the way, Scott Dog, saying things like: "I expected it to be $800..." PLEASE dont give CR such ideas! :) Next time say,: "Well, i thought it would be about $200, but no, theyre saying $400, oh well..." :)
