He gave his opinion on a good hunting knife. The best he's tried in 10 years. If you don't agree, that's fine, but it's no reason to be rude and insulting behind your internet anonymity.

I can speak only for myself. I find his practice of embedding one of his YouTube “reviews” in roughly half of his 99 posts (all made without bothering to become even a basic member) to be annoying, rude, bad form, douchey - pick your adjective. Whether he has ad revenue enabled at the moment or not, he is clearly posting here with the sole purpose of driving views to his channel. I have no idea idea what threshold of interest he may have in mind before he intended to monetize his channel, but I doubt that he’ll generate it here.

If I had made this exact same post, with no video attached we would be having a normal conversation. People would be telling me about their favorite hunting blades and whether or not they prefer to have a gut hook. BladeForums is about discussing knives, in detail, here on BF.
It is not about writing a brief intro, then linking to a YouTube video.

If you want to do a full written review here and illustrate it with a YouTube video that would be fine. We are trying to avoid the forum turning into a "link and run" depot for anyone with a YouTube channel.
