I have a pretty large folder collection consisting of offerings from spyderco, benchmade, cold steel, kershaw, ontario, etc.. I don't have custom knives or anything over $300. I wanted to see what knife stayed locked in my slick hands with no slippage during normal cutting tasks, so I took the time to use each of them under this condition.

The winner was the PM2. I know this knife doesn't need any more praise, and I was hoping another knife would be better, but the PM2 won out. the grippy G10, choils and pronounced thumb ramp made for a solid purchase with zero slip.

I was somewhat surprised how much the thumb ramp mattered during this test. It was the one variable that basically put spyderco at the top while testing their other knives as well (even FRN sypercos vs G10 cold steels) I noticed that with a wet hand it made a big difference to have my thumb locked in at the spine. I normally dont like thumb ramps on fixed blades, but I'm typically wearing gloves and/or dont have slick hands.

Not going to mention all of the knives and how they did, but I wanted to share my findings on the one that performed best and why.

Can you give a brief summary, maybe group the models you tested into roughly (LoL) similar classes of material+texture?
