I think I hurt my Sebenza

Hmm.. I think the larger concern here is... Your sebenza was mechanically affected by dropping 3 feet to a wood surface.. That is unacceptable for a knife like that.
I'm really hoping you did something much more drastic to it, but forgot because it was normal use.. Then you dropped it and your senses went into fine tune mode to find a problem with it from that, but found the use texturing on the blade in a paranoid search. I really really hope your seb wasnt hurt by falling onto a wood surface. That's just embarrasing for a 400 dollar knife. Just my .02 based on my Kershaw taking flight a few times with nothing to show but scratches.

Nope. You can ask my wife (obviously not gonna happen :)) but if you did she would tell you that soon as I picked it up it was different. I've been working to get it nice and sebenza smooth since I got it--finally had it that way...so I wasn't too happy about this. Believe me I'm as surprised as all of you that this could happen so easily. All that said, I have used it quite a bit since that day and it's about 20% as noticeable as it was, so I think it's evening out a lot.

One other minute thing I noticed is that the blade is ever so slightly off center of what it was before the drop. I am guessing this has something to do with the fact that it originally came off center and was immediately sent back for repair. I really hope I didn't get some sort of lemon...I'm afraid to use it hard like it's supposed to be because I really like the knife and don't want to mess it up more. But I don't want to forgo another 2 months without it so I'm just gonna continue using it and keep an eye on it.

last time I dropped my sebenza from a 6 foot ladder and it took a chunk out of my warehouse floor. knife didn't have a scratch. Now I wonder where snail trails come from. jk
