I thought it would turn up because I am pretty sure I didn't take it out of the house during the time period it went missing but it hasn't.:grumpy: My wife has a habit of moving everything around so I can lose more stuff. I never lose things until she moves them and then they are gone forever.

I am not happy. It was the grey handle not the new super steel so i guess I should be happy about that but I am not. I hate losing things and now that they are not making the grey CJ anymore, it justs makes me sick.

I hate to start a thread like this but what knives have you lost? Maybe by hearing stories of people losing a Massad Ayoob or a Bob Terzuola, it may make me feel a bit better.

i "lost" my Matriarch with matching necksheath for about two weeks. I found it three days ago in a drawer.

I used to get annoyed and would start looking for the damn thing in the past, but have stopped doing that for quit a while now.
However hard i searched i never found it, and then it popped back up after a few days:o

So i wondered where my Mariarch was untill i found it in a drawer, i don't know who put it there but i don't remember putting it there.

If you are positive you never carried it outside you will eventually find it.

I lost my first Spyderco a few years ago. I found it about a year ago in a cardboard box on the attic. It seems it got into the box when we moved and i never found untill recently.

One of these days it will pop up.

That's so sad:( I really hate losing things, and I feel your pain. Hope it turns up.

About 15 years ago I bought an expensive (for me) $60. Gerber. It had a clip on sheath and I lost it the first time I wore it while scouting for Deer.:( Pissed me off so bad I didn't but any knife better than a Schrade till this year. :D But now I'm really making up for lost time! I suggest you start shopping for the lost knife's replacement! Of course, it might take two models to ease the pain!;)

I lost a nice pink handled serrated jester that I made a neat little fob for. I left it in a bathroom while bicycling. I was really bummed.

I thought I lost my grey caly too. I found it in my shoe the next morning... kind of odd.

I am so sorry! perhaps now is the time to get one of the new ones? And blame the purchase on your wife?? You can not be without your Caly!!

i lost my 2 first spydies.
The first was a endura SE with FRN handle. I was in a kayak on the Herault river in the south of the France, with my little sister. And the kayak has been overtuned in the rapid water with my sister and I (it was my sister fault :D ). So i sank with my poor Endura only clipped on my short waistband. I was alive but my knife has been drowned (my sister was alive too, helas! no i'm joking, i love her :o ).
My other spydie, many years after, was a SS SE delica. And a night my car has been robbed. I left my dear knife in my glove compartment, and it wasn't here when i discovered the crime
I hope i will not lose my new spydie collection

About 8 months ago, I got one of the new Cocobolo Kopas. Carried it for maybe a week or two, then couldn't find it. Never did show up :(

Ended up buying another one....

I lost the first Spyderco I ever owned...it was a Hunter I believe...I believe it was "liberated" from my affects while staying over at a friends house in High School...hard to say as many people were there....:(

Oh well, I've finally replaced it after 20 years with a PE Stretch...this knife is an unsung hero in the Spyderco world!

Not a Spyderco, but I lost my Kershaw Hawk a few months ago for a while. I've never lost a knife before and it made me pretty upset. All of my knives have a place that they go, and they're (except for the current EDC, and SAK that I keep on my desk) always there. So when the Hawk wasn't there I started looking for it.

I turned the house inside out looking for that knife several times. Then I started looking for a new one (seems that they're getting harder to find). When I gave up all hope I found it... on top of the 'fridge. How it got there I'll never know. I live alone, so no one put it there.

To this day I'm still baffled by how it got up there, and why. What reason could I have had for putting that knife on top of the fridge? Tis a mystery, I says.

I hate loosing knives. My first real knife was a Benchmade 722 Pardue, had it for about two years until someone gave me the old bumb and grab in a casino. Didn't realize till he was long gone. The knife after that was a Benchmade Auto Stryker which some how managed to slip out of my pocket and into Lake Tahoe. I didn't know exactly where it had happened but it did and it is gone.
Sense these two episodes occured I have yet (if ever) to buy another Benchmade, cursed or something.

Haven't lost a Spydie yet. (knock, knock)

Just lost my Endura a couple of weeks ago, broken tip and all. Even more recently lost my Jester although I think it's in the laundry. I now watch over my Pacific Salt carefully as this is my EDC. I am looking forward to the new Endura, although it has been torture to not buy the old Endura, and hope that all of the improvements are as righteous as I always thought they would be.

A while back i had a dragonfly stolen from my golf bag.

I almost always take a caddie, and normally you check your clubs and golf balls before and after the round with the caddie. (by the way i live in South Africa, theft, murder, hijacking and rape are like the national sports here). Anyway i always check my balls and clubs after the round. I was on the course the otherday and had an oppertunity to do some slicing, guess what no more dragonfly..

I once lost my Native when I was moving home from college. I got a Buck Odyssey to replace it and wore it for two years. I lost that in the woods. A month later I found the Native I thought I had lost in a box of cheques for a bank account I had closed.
A few months ago, I saw a Manix on sale for $45. Not knowing what they normally cost, I passed it up because I didn't think I could spare the money at the time. I've been kicking myself ever since. It's not so much a knife that I lost as it is the one that got away.

p.s. FWIW, I carried that spyderco for four years before I lost it. I bought it in the first place to replace a Bucklight that had been my best friend until being removed from my luggage during the trip back from Europe.

I've only lost one knife before but it was one of my favorites, an Al Mar Osprey. I don't know what happened to it, but I lost it and the leather slip sheath. I still have hope that I'll find it one day.
Matt

I haven't lost any spyders yet, but I once lost my (then) only EDC, an all stainless SAK Military(?). I couldn't find it for months until my son, whilst fooling around in my car:grumpy: , found it back from under the driver's seat;) .

Good knives BTW. The SAK didn't show a hint of corrosion.
