I think I lost my Calypso Jr.

I never actually lost a Spyderco, but I did lose a knife with a beautiful malachite handle from Santa Fe Stoneworks... I'm still sad about it.
Now about my wife, a little after when we were first married, my wife decided she was going to help me by gathering all of my knives together for me because we were in the process of unpacking. I was so mad that I was seeing red for days. It was just like this:

with the mushroom cloud and everything! Just out of curiosity, does your wife know how much these knives cost? If she did, she might understand a little better, barring that you have to be firm. I would like to suggest that you should make a single place in your home for your knives, and ask your wife that if she finds one that it MUST go over with the other knives. Sorry if I sound too much like Dear Abby, but it's either that or you'll probably keep losing knives. (even if they're not really lost)

I was working in some wetlands in North Missouri last fall. When I got back to the homestead I noticed that the Spyderco "Spyderhawk" I had taken down there to work with was missing. I immediately went back and re-traced all my steps at least 3 or 4 times. NO CIGAR!! That was the first premium knife I have ever lost going back to my high school days when I lost a BUCK Stockman.

LIKE Kgriggs says it just gives you a gut hollow, gut wrenching feeling to lose a good knife. To me it's not just the money value in it either. With the paramount respect that I have for Spyderco I just feel there is something really special about a great piece of cutlery. A knife can be a "REAL FRIEND" to a man: a lot people who have never discovered the valuable use for knives wouldn't understand that. It has been a year and when I still go back to the wetlands I always keep looking and keep hoping. I pray you find your knife SIR. JD

I found my Jester. You can all sleep well tonight. It was in my wife's laundry. She doesn't even like my knives!
