I think I may have a problem...

Sure! One, as in:

One diver's watch;
One pilot's watch;
One dress watch;
One fashion watch;
One military/stealth watch;
One digital multi-function watch;
One calendar watch;
One moon-phase watch;
One vintage watch;
One "el cheapo" watch (that you'll beat the hell out of);
One extra special watch (that you'll pass down to your kids).

You get the idea. . . .

You forgot chronograph, regulateur, and hell, lets even go with the tourbillon since they're somewhat affordable now. And cant forget spring drive, tuning forks, bumpers. Wow. Our knife hobby really is pretty sane compared to the watch hobby....

You Sir are evil ;):p

I love corrupting others with my hobbies/passions too :D

That's good. If you get into watches you might eventually get stuck with this old ugly outdated thing. And who wants that? This thing tempted me for about 7 years. Know what I sold to get it? My miata. Gave up cars for my grail watch. Although after the a langhe and the JLC I'm kind of in the peewee leagues here. My friend has one of the the JLC atmos clocks and that thing is a true work of art. I could stare at it for hours.

Holy Crap! You sold your convertible sports car for a watch? Wow, that thing must have really had your number. :D:D

I assume you are happy with the 'trade'?

I've sort of outgrown my autox hobby and simply didnt have time for it anymore. The watch is something I can enjoy all the time no matter where I'm at it. I bought it brand new and love it. A lot of us knife guys have a deep appreciation for the machining and attention to detail that goes into something like a sebenza. You ought to see what goes into a $3000 chronograph. Or a $250,000 tourbillon

Is that the senator? Beautiful movement. Swiss movements take the spotlight so often (for a lot of good reasons and a few not so good reasons) that people often miss the amazing pieces that japan, germany, and these days even china make.
