HEY everyone I think I need to go to KA meetings (knifeaholics anonymous)!!!! I can't stop buying knives! Do u know if there is such meetings?:( I have spend almost $550 in the last 2 weeks. How do u guys stop your self from buying so much. Aaaah I need more give me more ahhhh. Esee, spyderco, benchmade come to papa aaahhhhh  :D :jerkit:

I doubt you can stop:D. Believe me, I've tried.

The best I managed to do was to sell the knives I don't use so I don't end up pouring more money into this hobby.

A hint would be to carefully consider your next purchase and find some things that might put you off. For strider, S30V seemed a little old and the thought of fit and finish issues kept bugging me. I felt like trying a Yuna Hard series, but ZDP-189 seemed a little outdated. Wouldn't mind an AD-10, but I don't see why I'd need such a strong lock when the toughest thing I've ever cut was some corn stalk.

Wanted to try that Para2 camo G10, but that seems like a downgrade when I have a Para2 in S90V and Carbon Fiber.

Oh I'm sorry, did I just tempt you more;)?

We don't. That's why we're on BladeForums. :D

$550 in two weeks? Wait until you start spending that and more on one knife. Then wait until you start picking up three or four of them a week. Your problems are just beginning my friend. Run while you can. :D

I think I'm DOOMED. I just got a para2 and I'm in love its the nicest and it feels so good in the hand I think if I down grade or get something not as nice I won't like it. And I don't want to start by strides or Chris reeves but I probably will so I know I'm DOOMED. LAST YEAR I Thought a $25 kershaw was to much money. Aaaahhhh I don't know what to do

Perhaps a subconcsious desire?:D

I have asked myself if there is a way to slightly lessen my steel addiction. I don't think there is. Makes me feel good to know we are all in good company.

the only cure to the addiction is more knives. :D

I've got a Kershaw Junkyard Dog II, a damascus Leek, and a Bradley Kimura V arriving in the mail tomorrow. I suppose ordering those three kept me from purchasing a full size Benchmade Presidio and only buying a 3550 while I was out yesterday. That's the trick, buy a bunch of knives in one day and you won't buy as many the next!
:D

You need a wife that won't hesitate to put you in the doghouse over such purchases.

I have the addiction bad as well, but I prefer sleeping with the wife more... so I have to make choices every now and then!

I say who cares? I spend WAY more than I "should" on knives. I bought a SnG DGG CC yesterday. On the way home, I accidentally found myself in a store that happened to have a BM 211 Activator in there. Can you guess what happened? If you have the means, you probably work hard. No guilt.

Here is usually what happens when I browse knife maker's catalogs, and want to refrain from dropping cash:

0 - Stop looking!
1 - Pornography.
2 - More cowbell.
3 - @Cobra281 Damn you!
4 - ???
5 - Buy a knife.

Don't stop - you know KnifeMakers have to eat to you know - :p

I feel your pain. I don't even know how or why I got into Balisongs, I really can't remember what happened and now I've spent $700 on them in one week. All my spare time is spent perusing pawn shops looking for more. I'm sick with this. When my three Kimuras V,VI and VII arrived today in the mail I quickly ran upstairs and hid them from my wife. I tell myself it's an investment and I'll sell some to break even but trying to part with any of them seems unrealistic. Good luck

Best answer:thumbup:......not to mention the most true:eek:
