I think I want to move to Colorado

It's basically settled. Edwards in Eagle County right near Vail and Beaver Creek resorts. About 2 1/2 hrs west of Denver not too far off I-70. I plan to be out there by about the third week in Nov. :)
You guys out there better warn the trout and the moguls and the mulies that I'm on my way. :D

We'll miss your presence in the Metro area. But you'll be better off, no doubt.

Just promise not to make me feel too foolish as I remain...behind.

Well, ... today was a very productive day. I got out of my old place on Monday. Today I got my car fixed up, reserved a uhaul, purchased some necessities, and made arrangements to have a new bed delivered upon my arrival. I gave away most of my furniture so I will need to buy some new pieces when I arrive out west. Over the next few days I will sort through my things and dispose of some junk, make plans for a couple of nights on the road, say my goodbyes, pack up my things, and leave. I should be in the Rockies in less than a week. I can hardly wait. :)

Drive carefully and keep in touch. There is a good chance that we'll cross paths.
By the way, one more benefit to the Colorado altitude is that your drives will be much longer. I've hit a few over 400 yards in Denver and Idaho Falls ID.:D

Thanks, Mack. Taking off in the AM. 70 all the way. I have a reservation for a nice hotel in Terre Haute tomorrow night. I will be living just a couple of miles from 70 in Avon (Eagle-Vail). Hit me up when you're rolling through. Several nice courses in the area. I'll keep you guys posted.

I got a bit of a late start. Took off at 12:30PM instead of around 9:00AM like I had planned. Drove just over 650 miles in about 10 1/2 hours on the road. I stopped at Cabela's in Wheeling, WV. Awesome store. Burned up around $200 worth of 87 octane. Another long day of driving tomorrow. I had almost forgotten what a beautiful country this is (aside from the roadkill). More tomorrow evening.

Be safe!

Watch the weather this way too. We're having a winter storm watch for the next day or two in northern New Mexico. Not supposed to be as bad up by Denver or Avon, but driving could be tricky at times.

I made it in safely. The house is cool and the mountains are as magnificent as ever. Looks like I got in just ahead of the weather. Feels good to be home. :)

Very cool. You made great time. I'd love to make that drive in a car some day.
