Really super great prices at the show this past weekend!

MOD "Lady Hawk"--WOW! What a neat knife! It has a liner lock. That's something I've never seen before on an auto.

Dalton "Pocket Hawk"--Super, tank tough. Just like my other Dalton.

Microtech "UDT"-- All right, all right. You guys were right.

It's a perfect little auto in every way. I don't remember who posted it, but you were also right. When it opens, it's like one piece of metal. No blade wiggle whatsoever! Mine is the all black model. Black body/black blade/black sheath.

CRK&T Kasper--What a knife! Looks strong as Superman! A really neat feature is how low it rides (hides?) when it's clipped to the inside of your pocket.
Also picked up a neat little "Point Guard". CRK&T... perfect, as always. A neat and I guess new feature is that the Columbia River knives now come with a safety lever. (As if they didn't lock up tightly enough already!)

All I need is a Sebenza now.

(You all know that's not true! There's ALWAYS another neat new one!)

Good luck with your new "toys", Will. I also recently picked up a CRKT Pointguard 3.5" Plain edge. It's remarkable--especially for the $44 I paid for it. Enjoy>

Will-

I'm jealous. I was just telling a friend of mine today how much it sucks up here show-wise. All of the anti-gun/knife people took all the shows away! Bastids!

Sure, I can still order at will on line, but there's nothing like going to show and being completely surrounded by knives.

You can thank Hermes (James) for the subliminal "buy UDTs" references- he is by far the most fervent UDT devotee I think I've ever met. Well, him and RGRAY, that is.

And you're right- you do need a Sebenza.

Keith and Firebat,
The new additions are just that, new additons. I believe a fellow needs LOTS of knives. (And I have several!) As I get older, knives get neater. The show this weekend was actually a GUN show. It was in a huge wing of the fair grounds and I was just SURROUNDED by neat knives and great guns. I went both saturday and sunday. It was a really great weekend! Louisville has one of these huge gun and knife shows at least twice a year. Sometimes three times! There are good deals on knives to be found pretty easily. Good deals on guns have to be sought out carefully. This show, out of the thousands of great guns that were for sale, I didn't find one bargain in the bunch. Usually, I find at least one or two good gun prices. This time, even the ammo prices were high. This will be hard to believe, but it's the truth. The one and only Seecamp I saw had a price tag of $950.00! I had to go back twice because I thought, surely my eyes were playing tricks on me. But it was true. $950.00!!!

Sheesh,
Will

Will,

I bought this Seacamp the first year the .32 came out (Does anyone remember the year?).

I think I had to wait three months and paid less than $300 from a dealer friend.

I know this reaches off-topic, but HE started it:
Back in the mid eighties, my brother bought a Seecamp in .25. Sure, it was fine as his first gun, and only around under $200, if I recall correctly. But as far as my opinion, no Seecamp will EVER be worth NEARLY $900. Not as long as guns are not all-but-extinct or something. The Seecamp he had required repairs because something had gone inexplicably wrong with the sear. I took care of sending it back to Seecamp through a good shop I went to, and we didn't see the gun back for TWO AND A HALF YEARS, with NO CONTACT in the meanwhile! When the guy finally came back, my brother sold it. No regrets as far as I know of. Much happier with a G-27, anyway. And better served.

the only reason seecamps have such high scalper price tags is the laws of supply and demand.....for some reason there is still a large demand and a small supply thus the market price is artificially inflated....i have fired dozens of seecamps over the years and frankly wasn't as impressed as i was with the north american arms "copy" that is a marked improvement in the overall gun for much less money....if you can go a bit larger the keltec is a hulluva better value at a fraction of the cost with better customer support and service....it also is easier to shoot and has a much much better trigger..my factory hard chromed upper with gray grip frame ran me 275 plus tax and it hasnt failed, misfired, or malfunctioned in over 600 rounds...just my .02 cents worth

RGray,
I wish I could post clear pictures like that. That looks like an OTF Microtech. The detail in your picture is great! What model is that? Is that silver oblong piece on the front a safety? I have always been apprehensive of an OTF auto in my front pocket. (I'm sure you know what I mean.
smile.gif
YIKES!)
No, I don't remember the first year the .32ACP Seecamps came out. What was the year? I bought a NIB .32ACP Seecamp in December, 2000. The serial number is 037XXX, so it's pretty recently manufactured. Yours looks nearly the same. The only difference I can see is the mag plate. Does it have a five digit serial number?

Feverdoc,
My NAA Guardian is a little ammo sensitive, but it does fine with Fiocchi FMJ/HP. Also Gold Dots are completely reliable. The Guardian is now loaded with Glasers, which seem to operate just fine also. For some reason, Silvertips jam. I too, have a factory hard chromed P-32. It is an ENTIRELY different proposition. It has fired EVERY type of ammo I've ever tried! It's NEVER malfunctioned. Right now it's loaded with Magsafes. Great little pistol!

peacefuljeffrey, you don't sound so peaceful.

I just wanted to know the year.

You didn't have to respond.

I can't believe you waited "TWO AND A HALF YEARS, with NO CONTACT."

Will, that's the Microtech Nemesis and yes that is a safety under the button.

The Seacamp serial number is 19333.

Rick,
Microtech "Nemesis" eh? Nice! Does the blade jump out pretty fast? Any wiggle once it's in the open position? Does it have a sheath or a pocket clip? And most importantly--are you COMPLETELY sure of that safety. (I'm sure that you know what I mean.
smile.gif
)
Wow. Your Seecamp still looks good. I think that attests to the quality of the little pistol. I carry mine a lot in a RJ Hedley back pocket holster and a Haugen Handgun Leather "Boxter" with a shark-skin flap. It keeps the Seecamp lint and dust free. I hear the serial numbers are up into the forty thousands now. That's a LOT of little pocket pistols!
I purchased my first Microtech this weekend and boy, is it ever nice! I think it's the nicest finished pocket knife that I've ever bought! I'm sure glad it came with a sheath. I'd hate to scratch the little jewel!

Will

One last thing I forgot to mention, and then it's off to bed. This afternoon I called the dealer who had the Dalton "Mini Cupid", talked him down a little on the price and bought that little jewel also. He sending it tomorrow morning and I should have it by friday. Love those Daltons!

Will

Hey Will.

If the blade came out too fast it could damage the knife.

The final run with serrated buttons are the fastest.

It has a sheath and the safety is very safe.

The Seacamp is NIB.

I have a first run and last run Mini Dalton you will like it.

The Nemesis was my first MT.

RGRAY!!?
That early model Seecamp is still NIB??
You have great restraint. I carry mine. I also carry my Dalton "Pocket Hawk". I don't have anyone to leave my guns and knives to, so I'm going to enjoy them.
I feel a little bad about not having kids but for ten years, during the time that most married couples were having children, I was either injured or ill. Now, I'm 50 years old. However, I do plan to find some deserving young person to pass these things on to. I'm looking. I had a friend who is dead now. He had some things he wanted to pass on also. One thing was a stag handled, fixed blade sheath knife that he had taken off a Nazi colonel during the last days of World War Two. He gave it to his nephew. The kid was old enough to know better, but my friend came out of his sister's house and found the little ingrate throwing the knife at a tree! He had cracked the fine stag handle! My angry friend took back the knife, and I don't blame him.
