Double AXIS Lock

This is a great knife from Benchmade, got two blades. Check it out.

I second the thoughts on the Ares. It's a great do-everything knife. It was even available for a while in a limited edition with carbon fiber scales and M2 steel.

I would have to agree with others here and recommend a BM 921 Switchback. VERY sharp.

The 690 is by far their best non axis lock model. I definetely think it should be represented in your set

You know, the whole point of this thread was to get away from Benchmade! Now I need to get a BM 42, 690, 710, 730, 910, and 921!

I just picked up a 921 the other day, and yah.. you Definately need a 690.. that knife is beautiful. Its actually the prettiest of the Benchmades, too bad it dont have an axis lock, its a little thick... but the blue liners look cool:

Ahhh, the Ares....... I had a 710HS and had to let it go. You see this limited edition Ares in M2 steel and carbon fiber handles found it's way into my pocket. Been there ever since. Yeah, it's that good and gets my vote for the best BM folder of all time. Do yourself a favor and try like hell to find one.

You also need a Model 31 :)

Not to mention the 710 (in M2) & 705 a must in any BM collection.

For a non-BM I would suggest looking at the new LCC in S30V, just got one today and it's very slick!
