With all due respect to Ethan....if I could only have one Short it would be a 17. I love mine, just a great style and look. The FFG16 is a slightly better slicer...and it is a great bushcrafty knife....but I would still pick the 17 every time. I have barely had the 17 out of my sight since I got it.
A number of people keep saying things along the same line.... so WHAT exactly is it that you like better?
I've almost bought the 17 several times, but I already have the 16 and everyone seems to agree it's a better cutter/ slicer.
Is it just the aesthetics? The clip point?
the 17 is the Sabre 16 with a clip cut in, and a very pretty clip at that.
It's hard to define. Mainly just style. I love a clip point, and I knew as soon as I saw the 17. . .I would have one.
Yes indeed to this!. . .but the 17 has been calling me.
I was all set to buy a BK14 for my next purchase, but the 17 has been calling me.
Sorry, ya'll are wrong. The 15 is most definitely where it's at.![]()
I wish my internet out here wasn't so slow...this thread needs more 17 pron! But it would take forever to get to my PB account from here.
I've got a few pics of my 17. . .I've convexed the edge. It is a mean slicer now. . .Now it does the job no problem.
