I think I've found my "the one"...

In the last year and a half or so, I've had all kinds of production knives, a couple of Striders, a couple of Sebenzas, and a custom Carson/Obenauf folder, and this is the only folding knife I have now...

Besides maybe adding a Ritter Mini-Grip, I don't know of another knife that would replace this one.

Anyone else find their "the one"?

yea, my "the one" changes every few years. From '99 till this year it was a benchmade 710, now it's a strider SMF. I wonder how long this "one" will last... :D

It's a Benchmade Ritter Griptillian

It's light enough to disappear in my pocket, but has a big, sturdy feel to it when in use. It's as smooth as the Carson, and I love the lock (axis). Flat ground, S30V, nice thick blade. I love the profile. There's really nothing I don't like about it. And it's $105 NIB.

The Ritter Grip is a special knife for sure. The only thing that stops it from being my "one" (or actually "two" :)), is the FRN handles :(

I got the Mini. Have it for 20days now. Great knife by all standards. Price, size, Shape, design, steel. The designer of the blade took lessons from the Sebenza. My fav. Finish on the blade.

Alot of people Give dismiss it for not having a G10 Handle. Dont knock it untill u try it guys. It feels great in the hand and in the pocket

I am thinking of a bigger folder now and am thinking between the full sized one or the manix. I'd probably go for the manix just because its tougher for the kind of job i have in mind for it.

but agree, great knife

I've had my old "the one" since 1989: Chris Reeve Shadow 7".

My new "the one" arrived last week, and I can't put it down: Northwoods Willow Leaf.

I'm still looking for my "one" knife but right now my Benchmade705 is getting a lot of pocket duty. Did I mention that it is a Forum Knife with M2 blade steel? :D

I found my "one" a few times. They always turned out to be female dogs!! Oh wait you ment knives......I would have to say that I'm still looking for that.

The one for me is my Benchmade 806D2

Simply the perfect knife :]

Though I'm afraid the Strider AR passaround might top that. :O

haha my "the one" is my semi-new, strider SNG.

it's cause it cost me 400.00 and after that i don't have the cash to be buying other knives.

it's a good knife too.

my the "one" today, is my BM940....
he is light, cut well and has a clip...

But yesterday it was my "doukdouk", due to his lightness and thinness ! :)

and tomorow it will be my spydie endura 2 (bit more heavy, due to his steel handle)

those are the "ones" turning regulary in my pocket !

You sure can't go wrong with the Rittergrip. So much knife packed into such a light package. It's tough to beat. I like the way it carries as an EDC, but is also designed as a tough wilderness tool.

I have two knives that I currently edc, one for work and one for other times. These are a MOD Tempest PE old school, and the EKI CQC7A in tanto point PE. I like these so much that I bought two of each and really can't see me buying anymore edc's. The lock up on all of them is excellant and the blades are as sharp as razors. The CQC's both have the best lock up of any mid size liner lock I have ever used or had in my posession. They have not moved one iota through hundreds and hundreds of openings. Actually that could be said for the tempest's too. I am one happy camper and actually have a bit dough now to put into my scoot cause I aint' buying a knife every couple of weeks. keepem sharp

Man, you guys have it made.... I have my "The twenty nine".. :)

I just grab whatever suits my fancy for the day.

I just switched over to the Ritter Grip myself. It's a great knife. I'd considered maybe getting a Strider or Sebbie down the line, but I just can't see a reason at this point. This knife cuts great and is all around tough.
