This is my delica. It finds its way into my pocket on most of my outdoor adventures. Sometimes complemented by other blades sometimes by itself. But especially hiking cause its so light in the pocket.

Ive been slowely convexing the edge every time it needs sharpened, and its really started to take off.:D

Makes an argument for the thin-full flat grind with convex edge I think. I dont know if it would replace my mora persay but it certainly gets the job done.

We go on alot about fixed blades for woodscraft and for good reasons, but Im intrested in what kind of knife the wilderness crew pockets everyday in regular type life. (I bet theres a lot of SAKs:thumbup:) Not nessecarily for a trip to the woods but just on a random normal day O' the week. I wonder if our choices are affected by our outdoor hobbies.

Dats sharp!!!!!!!!

I still have my Izula and a Vic Farmer in my pocket!

Good stuff brother.

Sporting a RC-4 on my side, a Leatherman Charge TTi on the belt, and a Rat Model 1 folder in the pocket.

My SAK Famer that is my EDC is that sharp as well. I convexed it a while back. Took me some time to get it right... and then get the scratches out - but it is sharp.

Ive got a green cadet ive been trying to do the edge on, but I just cant seem to get it "there" Just wont seem to take an edge. :( I kinda chalked it up to cheap steel but maybe I need to keep at it.

Spyderco D2 Paramilitary

and a

Schatt and Morgan Wildcat Driller in ATS-34.

I was also doing food-prep with a BRKT Canadian Camp Knife earlier.

Today its gonna be the Caly-3 that just came in the mail. Maybe going hiking with me later this weekend.

Man those Spydie Militaries are really starting to talk to me.....Being poor sucks!

I'd love to replace this with a Spyderco because I am a Spyderholic and I prefer the 'hole over any other opening mechanism but I haven't found a Spydie yet that has the right "tough" feel without taking up a lot of space in my pocket. I think the upcoming Chokwe might be it, if a little large.

Runsalone,

Did you flat grind the Delica blade?

Thats where the blade for this knife came from :D I thought the beefier blade made much more sense in the beefier G-10 handle, and I wanted a lighter weight flat ground blade for EDC so I did the transplant.

This worked out really well cause a fellow forumite really dug the G-10 delica with the other blade and convex edge, and traded me a Caly-3 for it.

So Im in flat ground heaven right now!;)

Nice! I've been carrying my Ritter Grip and my Lone Wolf D2! Both s30v, and both have been batoning and are tough. D2 has an amazing profile and grip, and it's a hidden auto!

I always hated the spyderco knives. The look of them of course cause I wont deny their performance ever. Then I got this Spyderco ATR in VG-10 and was sold on them ever since. Shame they stopped making this model it is a great knife.
