I couldn't quite think what niche this knife would fill but after trying it preparing various food and making fuzzsticks I think it will make the perfect small camp knife for this year !

Pit, I'm sensing a change in you. I got so used to seeing the same old same old everytime you posted pictures. Now all of a sudden you're posting all the new knives. I don't know what to think. lol

I aim to please bro ! LOL !!!

I'm afraid you will still be seeing the same old, same old for most of the time because they are the ones I have found work the best for my needs !
I don't actually have a sheath for this Nessie and won't be able to afford one any time soon so I won't be carrying it for hikes but will toss it in the car for camping !!!
Also some other blades such as my ChopWeiler and MOD4 are too heavy for my hikes so they too will only really be used around the home or when camping !!!
I think my little Bandicoot and SwampWarden along with my trusty Dumpster Mutt will see the most hiking use this summer !!!!;)

Pit,

Cool knife. I've got the Koster Monster Nessie, but that size looks pretty handy.....

Sweet! Dan makes a fantastic knife. Let us know how its working for you. I own one of the first ones, in ironwood!

I have Daniel Koster Bushcraft inbound and waiting on the Survivor,I just was not sure on that blade ,Thanks...

You will love them TTD, Those bushcrafters are handy blades!! The firesteel sheaths are really well made too!! The scandi grind kosters cut like a freakin "laser".

i have handled a few kosters, always experienced even grind lines, smooth, comfy handles and good shapes all around. properly thin edges for cutting all manner of stuff, not too thin or thick.

i did notice that the edges were a bit course, and not super sharp, but i could change that quickly enough if i had the chance...

I opted for the 0-1 Bushcraft version it will be my 1st Koster blade & before getting to try it out I ordered the Survivor as well.

Now you've got me wanting one! He had some up for grabs a while back that were extras from BLADE and I passed. I'm going to have to rethink the matter.

Sweet Knife Pit. I have his Nessmuk as camp knife also and I use it in the house kitchen all the time as well.
Mine is 1095 flat grind. That man sure can put a edge on a knife!
