To make it more comfortable and to give you a better grip. The one I held was very smooth and slippery as well as being too thin for my hand.

I had an idea, and just tried it. It is a good start, but now I have a few other ways to try after studying this way, and I think that I'll try to utilize the back cutout...

I wanted to make one of the cut out areas hold a piece of survival gear...
Here's a quick wrap with lots of flaws to work out.

The other side looks worse, LOL.

I like the lanyard thing... and in the front cutout you can see that it's in Urban Survival Mode... Got a $20 folded up in there. IF i were to be on the trail, I'd probably swap the 20 bucks out for a flint & striker. Anyway, as embarrasing as this first attempt is, I figure it'll spark an idea or 2!

BTW: Gotta give CREDIT where credit IS DUE: I first saw a skeletonized knife with the flint & striker a while back and IF i am not mistaken, Shane Sibert made & wrapped it.

Thanks KAAK with some care and locking the cats in another room (so they don't paw the cord) that one could look good.

maybe its the big knot in the middle. and im not laughing at you, but i cant stop.

Well considering that was the 20th one he did and still had almost ten to go; his hands may have been a bit tired and he was losing his concentration.

Naw, That's cool, lol it IS funny. I didn't tighten any of the knots as I was just messing around trying new thoughts... lol so even as a half-hitch, and whatever the other is called ...can't remember, it WAS a larger lookin' knot. I just took it off to shoot the 'Graduating Class', photo to be posted later. Laugh away!!! BUT, when you're done, help me improve it!! :thumbup:

Not really a handle wrap, but cord anyway.
I'm just playing around, and will probably remove it soon to maintain the "tinyness" of the knife.
It really secures the knife in the hand, but I'm not sure I like it yet.
