I ground a few knives today and put them in vinegar to knock the scale off of them. I covered the container with plastic wrap to keep the house from smelling like vinegar (my wife hates that) I went to look at them, and on the plastic wrap was an outline of each of the blades complete with bevel lines and everything. It was formed from the condensation on the wrap from the blades that were in the vinegar. I just thought it was kinda cool.

Wow that is kinda neat! Excuse the blasphemy but its like the holy shroud with the image of Jesus.
 
Maybe it's the evil spirits escaping that horrible smell (I hate it too!).
 
That is interesting.Did you know that white vinegar is a good rubber rejuvenator, works real well on wiper blades..
