Thank you Brad, I just spied some of your Cattle knives - simply amazing my friend. - and thank you.

Absolutely fantastic Duncan, thanks for sharing these splendid photos with us my friend, what a collection of treasure :thumbuop:

Hope you all had a good time :)

Thank you Jack - we did, nice to get out!

Thank you for the great comments, I cant take pictures of all my knives - but I will add a few more here a wee bit later. I have trouble finding my direction of Collecting, I guess you would call my collection "scattered" as there are many different groups of different knives - and yet none of a COMPLETE run or model or brand - such as Charlie, Codger, Hal, Brad etc, I am all over the place... and to be honest...I am not too sure whether I am happy with this - I want to ( and have only just started ) to collect a certain style of knife, but at the same time keep picking up others I cant go past.
Is this a common thing amongst us?

You have quite a collection there Duncan! Beautiful knives, every one.

and your pictures ain't so bad either:thumbup:

Duncan, so many have summed it up so well about your enthusiasm and pure love of knives. As I read your post I begin to smile and from across the room Nanc says "are you reading something Duncan post?"

Then her face appears over my should to read it as well. I have your voice mail messages saved because Nanc loves to hear your accent as well as the enthusiasm you take in leaving them!!!

Quite a collection my friend and quite a man that owns it ;)

Always a please to read and see your post Duncan...

Paul

Wow, Duncan! Beautiful collection of knives, the pics are great.

Duncan:
Impressive both in your photos and your collection. I too have a wide range of knives in my collection. Like you it is hard to keep to a specific brand or type, as I like knives old and new. Great stuff you have there!
Thanks Charles

Paul - thank you, gees at times the posts here in Traditional almost bring a tear to my eyes - they really do - what a great place

Here is my little Primble - shows a few sharpening scars from days gone by - but man I love this little Jack..

Here is a fantastic EO I bought for my good mate Brian, has a lot of trouble in opening blades using nail nicks, he lost a stunner I gave him a while ago!!! a beautiful Solingen EO with worm grooved Bone that was just superb - had a great blade stamping too...so after me burning his ears with a lecture he will receive this one tomorrow, he looses this one - I told him he will go missing lol

Here are two "Western Castrators" Great Bone, the lighter Bone knife had a broken blade - which I reshaped into a smaller Spey, these knives come out with two Speys! you don't see that too much, the Darker Bone one was almost destroyed by someone who decided removing surface rust off with a dremmel was a good idea - left terrible scarring all over the blades, the back springs - took a few nights to sand them out graduating down the grades of wet and dry paper..anyway - its not a bad knife again now - its about to go a journey over big waters to a new owner :-)

Duncan, very very nice collection and pictures. Your work inspires me to try to do the same.

I tell ya Duncan, we got a lot of the same likes! The Charlow pics are awesome, and they are huge part of my collection, but man those old Case knives are magnificent. I'm glad to see you like that old red bone like I do, it's hard stuff to beat! Even the off color red bone from the xx era or 70's is really special stuff! If ya can't tell, I can't get enough of knives either, craftsmanship at it's very best!!!

Terrific photos Duncan, thank you for sharing some of your awesome collection! And that HJ in tortoise, wow is right! It must be cell to glow like that, I've one knife in tortoise acrylic (CSC Half Moon) and it looks good but not like that

Your collection seems much more focused than mine, mine is all over the place, one of these, two of those, if it catches my fancy and there is money in my side account I buy it :p I only have one Charlow

Cheers,
Griff
