I turned 29 today. What can I expect from my last year of being in my twenties.

What were all you doing when you were 29 ?
Any advice ?

Happy Birthday dude... I'm almost there too, 1 month before I turn 29. I don't know about you, but I'm not looking forward to hitting the big three O. You can expect time to fly by even faster, and before you know it you will no longer be "in your twenties".

29? I have underwear that old. :D

29? Hmmmmm. 29? Damn! I can't remember 29. That was 40 years ago. Oh well.

Eat drink and be merry because the older you get the body starts to reject some of things that you really enjoy. Reflux and heartburn is not much fun and nothing to look forward to. Just remember "if you got it, flaunt it."

Happy B'day!

I don't even really remember 29/30 and it wasn't that long ago (heck, 40 was a little over a year ago and I vaguely remember what 39 was like:o).

29? I thought you were like 35 or something. You're a youngin. I have brothers older than you. WTF. You're only 2.5 years older than me.

Go have a brew or something.

Happy birthday.
I always told people that I would never make thirty. Three months before my thirtieth birthday I had ulcers that came very close to killing me. I got married earlier that year.
I hope that your twenty ninth year is much better than mine was.

Hi Ed -

Happy Birthday!

Expect more of the same. The last birthday that really makes any difference, you have already passed.

I was getting married, working a 3rd shift job, and riding a Harley when I was 29.

best regards

Take care of your body, 30 is when all my old injuries sustained in my younger days started to ache/play up and remind me what happened all those years ago.
Remember your family and what they stand for in your life, take time for yourself and remember who you are, maintain contact with friends from times gone by.

When I was 29. . .

Regrets, I've got afew, but too few too mention . . .

Here in my part of the world, normally we'd have San Miguel, a bit of karaoke and sisig!

But I think this one's more your style -

It only gets better with age, buddy. That is, as long as you take care of yourself. If you're not doing PT and watching your diet now, you need to start. You may not believe it, but you will age a lot quicker in your thirties if you don't take care of yourself. You need to establish positive habits now, so your metabolism and your body doesn’t have to play "catch up'. The older you get, the harder is to build muscle and lose weight, so get a head start on it. Of course, you may be a chiseled machine and if so, keep it up. The only birthday to worry about is your last one, and even that one's not worth worrying much over.

Happy Birthday! Don't worry, 35 is when everything starts going to sh*t. Yes, it's true, the years will start flying by after 30 as well. I'm 38 and it feels like 29 was a week ago, lol. Also, start checking on your cholesterol and that kind of stuff. It will start to catch up with you now that your becoming less "bulletproof."

I remembered when i was 29 about a word my ex-boss told me.

"You should by now know what you are doing or at least know you like something. Stick to it and work your way up. At the same time stay cool and things often will get to your better side"

At 32 now, i do feel what he said is true.

30 sounds a lot older than 29. I'm going to be be 31 in a few months! Definitely make the most of the last year of your 20s, especially with the ladies.

You've got a lot of grenades in your pack for a man of your age. Keep fighting the good fight. Happy BD.

"Never trust anyone over thirty"

At age 29 I was married, had a three year old daughter, and still fought fires for a living.

Fast forward 20 years. Still married to same woman, daughter is now 23, and I'm retired from firefighting. :(

Advice? Do what you love now, while you still have your health. I had to give up my dream job because of a bad heart.

Congrats on making it to 29! :) I'm 32 this year. Let's see... 29 was actually a great year for me. I got the job I am at now and that allowed me to quit my old job, which I didn't like as much. Then I took six months of freedom before starting the new job. I caught up on some gaming that I had been too busy to do before (golly, it felt great to just wake up whenever and play some video games!). I took a camping trip to Quebec with some buddies. I spent a month in Europe, traveling around. I grew a big moustache. heheh. 29 was a good year, yeah.

But for some of my friends, it wasn't that great. That was big recession time, and I had friends who were seriously struggling. Some still haven't recovered, 2 or 3 years later.
