I venture forth... With only a Pemberton!

Over 6 hours!! I don't know . . . . . .
I am warming up the Rescue Van!!
I have loaded on some Bowies, and a couple of Filleting knives, not to mention 6 or 7 Barlows . . . . . .
Who is coming along??

It's time to send out the search corgi's!

Good Idea. We can use them as bait for the Zambezi Tigerfish.

Only joking. Cute lil fellas-don't often see tricolour Corgis out here.My Wifes Aunt had one up in Queensland . She insisted that it was a pedigree Welsh corgi (shes Welsh herself ).Judging by its long legs with socks and white tipped tail I think its mother may have been the victim of a late night break in by a Dingo at the kennels. Well.....shhhh.

Checking in from a taco shop in El Cajon, CA! I'm OK, gotten along fine so far after a brief panic attack not long after leaving the house which was remedied by breathing into a paper bag - thanks RanchmanBen! After I calmed down I proceeded with the day which has been nonstop, hence my delayed reporting. Sorry if this unnerved any of you!

I cut up some beef jerky and shared it with a friend and later trimmed an absurdly long drinking straw to better fit the 8 ounce cup i was given. Nothing too exciting but needless to say I got thru it just fine with the little Pemberton!

Everywhere I went was busy so sorry for the delayed report. Thanks for the support and encouragement everyone! The ride home still lies ahead, will report in once I've safely arrived :)

Well thank God you're alive! You should just hunker down there until we can send you a medium stockman or something. No need to risk that trip back home, considering you just barely made it to that restaurant.

LOL ... very enjoyable interchange. I admire the OP for actually leaving his house. I went off to work today without my noon med and cell phone ... because I distracted myself about which two knives to carry today. I was also thinking about the CASE CV Yella Sodbuster Jr that I knew was going to be delivered today. I was inspired to try this minimalist exercise tomorrow with my single blade ebony PEM ... my wife says I passed out for a few moments ... came too with the clear conviction that I'm not leaving the house tomorrow without my #48 Dogleg trapper, and the PEM!

But, but....what if you have to baton a half a cord of wood?!? What if you're attacked by zombies...or worse - mall ninjas?!? What if you have to cut your way through an automobile?!? Heck, I don't even know how you cut through that burrito!

You're taking your life in your hands, man!

LOL!!! Yes it was with much trembling and uncertainty that I left home this morning. However as the day wore on I developed an almost cocky assuredness with the support of you all here and the mighty little Pemberton riding confidently in my right front pocket. I pushed on and got through the day with only a couple of mundane tasks for the little knife, but it handled these with ease. I do know it's easily up to a major percentage of what I use a pocket knife for. In fact it was a strange thrill to venture out with just this quaint little pocket knife. :)

There are days when a pocket knife isn't used at all, but when needed it is there at the ready and a faithful companion. What will tomorrow bring? I don't know yet, but the Pemberton has always been a favorite, so there is definitely more pocket time in it's future.

Looking at this picture I got an idea for a new diet:
put a Pemberton on your plate, and the portions look huge!

As long as you don't swallow the knife with your noon meds, that diet should work!
Of course a Pemberton probably only has 5 or 10 calories!

Well, if it's been lubed with mineral oil, it may help with, ah, you know, the inner workings! :o

This thread right here is why I keep coming back to this forum.. You all are hilarious. I have a Shetland sheepdog to herd anyone after my lab has found you wearing anything less than an appropriate pocket knife. Great job with getting through the day with the pemberton. I carry a peanut and the first few days are the hardest, it's smooth sailing from there though.

San Diego Mexican food will settle all problems.

Carne Asada tacos. Or a California burrito. (Carne Asada, Beans, guacamole, and rice.)

NOTE: San Diego Carne Asada is NOT ground hamburger.

I get homesick for local Mexican food if I leave for more than a week. How anybody manages to leave San Diego permanently is more than I can figure out.
