I visited Spyderco today...and got lucky!

Sal and Eric and all the Spyderfolk are good people.

Anyone who can make Blade Show, it's a knife lover's Mecca.

Great Story!! I was able to get to the factory last November. It is a great experience, I thought I was going to be there for the Factory second sale but it was the weekend before. I still ended up buying a camo PM2 with the black blade. I absolutely love that knife! I was hoping to bump into someone or see the factory but everyone was gone due to the holiday. I doubt I will ever be back in the area. On a side note, once you leave the factory you can go down the street to the Coors Brewing factory and get some good free beer!

It is a cool place to go. I recommend it to any Spyder fan. I'm a little spoiled, my parents live 30 minutes outside of Golden. Every time I visit them, I have to drop by.

He had 2 that I saw. One I held, and the other I only saw for about 1 second.
He had a small/medium knife that I did not recognize (roughly Chaparral size) with a new prototype lock that they had just built for testing (I felt extremely lucky that he handed it to me and let me check out how it works). I believe he said it's a new lock Eric came up with. It was pretty sweet, and worked great. I don't want to describe it though because they haven't released it, so I figure I should leave it up to Sal to discuss it or not.
The other one I only glanced at for a second when he flashed it while we were talking about the difficulty of traveling with knives. It was very small like a Manbug or possibly a Grasshopper or something similar.
