Rob!

S90V?
I'm guessing you're gonna make 2, a really hard small one and a really tough large one
or you might wanna have different parts of the knife at different toughness
just a thought.

come on guys be easy on Jacob, he's only repeating what he's heard. :)

here are two I've made, from 154CM double edged, Micarta with Kydex leg sheaths
you do have to take reasonable care of them like anything worth using and more so in salt water.

Mr. Gray, those knives are SWEET! I dig the flag colors for the handle. Did you use a huge amount of epoxy to get 100% coverage scale to blade to keep out the water from under the scales? Now that I think about it I have a 3/16 billet that I was making into a tanto with a half flat grind blade. I could blunt the tip on that one just a hair and see what happens. Not 1/4 but it's something till get up the nerve to purchase some S30V. Since I have been making knives for less than a year, the only thing I have ever used is CPM154.

thanks
just enough epoxy to coat it and fill any gaps you make to help hold it.., and that's still not much..
personally I think CPM154 is pumped up a tad to much price wise to use benefit ratio,
after all it is basically ground up and re-forged 154CM ;)
:)
