I wanna see some "Hard Use Folder Pics"

Where is the serrated bread knife, you used to cut that up?

There is no way, the thick bladed Strider cut that type of bread without mushing it, I have owned Striders(yes I bought into the hype also) and they don't cut cardboard well, let alone soft bread.

I didn't know that trolls ate bread

Thats what I thought.

I was just too nice to say it. :)

Rampage isn't trolling. He's just saying it the way it is.

If ginshun says he cut bread, I believe it.

But my SNG couldn't cut bread like that to save my life.

And Brother Elkins, you win round one. That knife really is a user. Didn't need to hear about the poop, though. :)

Thank you.

Thick bladed knives just don't perform like that.

Let's not be so quick to cry "troll" and just have an honest conversation.

1. You can cut really soft stuff with a sharp knife regardless of how thick the blade is if you have enough patience.

2. How do you know it is soft bread? Could be hard as a rock.

I'm no Strider fanboy (never owned one) but there's no reason to assume it didn't actually slice that bread. Besides, it was a gag...

OK, how's this: it even dug a hole to bury my pet goldfish in!:D

That knife has been clipped to my 'farmwork pants' for at least 10 years now. I can't even begin to imagine how much use this knife has seen. It's the reason I'm such a fan of titanium framelocks.

I guess I got a defective Strider.
It actually cuts stuff. Weird.

I didn't say they didn't cut.

Strider knives cut, but my knives with a thinner blade will slice better. Don't read anything more into this or try and change my words. It's a very simple statement.

I didn't change your words.
You said a Strider SnG or SmF would be too thick to cut bread.
It isn't.
Sure I'll generally pick a different knife, but it's worked for me before.
Made a decent sandwich.

Oh for the love of Pete, you are changing my words. :)

I said "the strider would not cut the bread that cleanly without mushing it"

See the difference? :D

I'm not trying to turn this into a pissing contest.

See the smilies, that means I'm not upset, just stating the facts. :D

Okay.:)
I don't know what kind of bread it was, to be fair. Some of the softer ones likely would be squished.

...fellas...no need to put a serious bend to it...the whole pic was just for laughs anyways:thumbup:...

Why are people ruining this thread by feeding the troll? Stop it and get back on track.

Anyway, here are the knives I get the most use out of:

Mine would be this one....

Sorry, couldn't resist. Actually saw this one up on Ebay.

Back to the thread. This one gets the most abuse out of all my knives....

Dang it, I just love a good beater knife. Can't quite figure out why that is. Maybe its because they have proven that they can do the job. Like a well-used, beater 1911 that you know is going to go bang when you pull the trigger.

My old first generation Spyderco Police has been through the ringer.
I got it and then the Benchmade AFCK back in the 80's when the only place I could find knives was from the Cutlery Shoppe cataloge that I got a couple of times a year.
I bought the Police and a Sharpmaker at the same time. Over the years I sharpened it so much that the serrations were spent and I ground new
Croc teeth , as I called them back then. It served me for years as my first pocket clip knife. The AFCK was it's replacement. It was used hard also, but showed the wear less. These knives did it all and are still fine carries when I feel nostalgic.

My Benchmade 750 has seen some hard use, including digging a hole to poop in!

You win. Easily.
P.S> after owning 4 SnG's 3 SMF, 2 AR's 3GB's (Just to prove Strider 1st hand knowledge) ) I don't think thee is any way that the factory edge SnG cut that bread. A factory edge wont even cut leather easily. So there. :p
