I want a bird-n-trout knife... suggestions?

AG Russell makes a very nice bird and trout available in your choice of VG-10, AUS-8, or D2. Priced very competitively at 50 bucks or so depending on the steel you choose.

This is a very, very useful knife. I'm using mine in the kitchen, but plan on getting a few more for camping. And at the price, you might as well buy one with a sheath and a spare or two so you don't have to worry about anything happening to it.

**Sorry, I should have checked the link. I'm thinking of AG's other bird and trout, which I'm really happy with:

I'm really happy with the quality, especially taking the price into consideration!

Cool little knife, odd sheath though, don't see how to carry it...

I'd go with the Chris Reeve Inyoni. I'm going to get one and I don't even hunt or fish! It's a beauty and totally worth the extra $75 I think. It's the one to go with especially if you want to pass it on to your kid.

2 sheaths are pictured for the Woodwalker with their functions described...the kydex one's a necker designed for just that...the leather one goes in the hip pocket...no mystery. ;)

Great looking little knife...

I got the neck sheath, but call me retarded, what is a hip pocket? Is that just another phrase for front pocket? Does the sheath just go in your pocket loose?

i just stick mine in my back pocket and it works great. the sheath works well for this type of knife. try it you'll like it.

Pocket sheaths without clips (some do have clips) go in you pocket loose...

I've always thought that hip pocket referred to a rear-end pocket on a given pair of pants. It's hard to find an actual defintion, though. :D

I'll also admit that the lump produced by even this small knife in its sheath in a rear (hip?) pocket would be too uncomfortable for me when sitting down. ;)
