Mineral Mountain Hatchet Works.
Perfect looks, general idea and price but apparently he'll only do blades under 12" now and my idea is a little longer than that.
Thanks for the link though.

Wow, Andy discontinued what was one of his best sellers?? Thats pretty odd business strategy, and really sucks for me cuz I'm sure they'll start selling on the aftermarket for even more than they did new from Fiddleback since they're so loved(kinda like the Busse Battle Mistress)
Get a cheap grinder or a file set and a slab of steel. Grind it out yourself, and then send it off to Darrin Sanders on here for heat treat. Won't come out as nice and pretty, but it will be very satisfying to make the knife you want yourself.
Man Tactical Knives featured the Bow Legged Chopper two issues ago so they are pretty late, I thought maybe it was taking off real big and thats why they ran it. But I didn't even start hearing about them until late '09 so I assumed they were a new release then. I didn't know they were that old already. He just told me that he hadnt made one in about 2 years and had no plans to make anymore right now as they are quite a bit of work.
Maybe he'll bring them back someday?

Seriously thinking about this as well. It looks like O1 steel is fairly cheap,in case i totally screw it up im not gonna be out too much, and would work for my purposes.
