Is it just me or do these make anyone else drool profusely?
Sadly I cannot afford these, at least not right now, but I cant be the only one fantasizing about them.
Anyone have these, looking to sell or trade used ones ? ..lol
Thoughts or comments, convince me to save, or that they aren't worth the dough ?

Oh and mail me a towel to wipe up the drool ..lol
Sadly I think right now, me being the only earner in the family means my knife collecting will have to start out much cheaper 8-( but a man can dream cant he?

They're just terrrrible! You don't want 'em! :p

It has a nut at the end that is embedded in the butt of the handle then smoothed off. You can kinda see it here:

The interesting thing is the tang. It is half stick, half cable. Looks kind of funky, but is actually a very nice design. It allows the knife to feel better balanced and more agile while still being very strong. I think it may also help with shock absorptioion.

PS- sorry for the thread highjack!

I have to say I am nuts for the Tor. Would really love to get one. I used to like the Laredo but I do NOT like that tang so I won't be getting one if that's how it's constructed. Yuck.

I thought it was strange the first time I saw that pic too. But people who know a lot more about knives than me have said it is a good design. Even superior in some ways to a full stick tang. It is made that way for a reason, and not to skimp on cost, as it would be easier to make it full stick. I really like the ballance and feel it gives the knife, and I have never heard of anyone breaking one of these, so they are pretty strong.

Yep, the Fallknivens are made in Sweden, but the laminated VG10 steel they use is made in Japan. ...Good stuff!

Funny thing,

I'm saving up for one now and was looking at the Tor today. It's worth it from what I've seen on BF and other places. Plus, sometimes when you look at a knife, you just KNOW it will be good. Dreaming until the pennies are saved for it.

Hey BryFry, did you cut the handle on that Tor just to show us whats going on inside? How does the leather hold up on the non-custom? I've been considering one of these also but I just can't justify that kinda cash on a blade I will never want to use.

Exactly !!! @ Roughneckrob,

That is been exactly whats been causing me the most hesitation.
They are so pretty... I don't know if I could bear the thought of actually using them.
I know that they are made to use, but the second that I scratched one I would be crying.
What to do...... What to dooo.

Unless you want it to collect or you are rich don't get it. Its an amazing knife I am sure but a waste if you won't use it. I would love it but I will never be able to bring myself to use it.

An indun is pretty much a fancy f1.
If you don't want the black handled f1 get one of the customs out there they are just as pretty!
