I agree, the Marlin 39A is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned and I would say the 10/22 would be a close second. 22s dont get no better than those 2 rifles.

+1 just from research. I have more .22s than I can shake a stick at. All were inherited from my father. However, if I were going to buy a new one, based on the things I've read to date, I would go CZ-452 first and Ruger 10/22 second. For the money you want to put out, you can purchase some nice upgrades for either rifle and have a ton of ammo to boot.

Many thanks to the fine well-informed members who posted in this thread. :thumbup: I am 99% certain that I have settled on the CZ 452 Ultra Lux rifle. I will visit a small local gun shop in a few days to place my order. I hope it doesn't take too long to get. I appreciate all the suggestions and all of the help. After I get a chance to use it some I will probably post some thoughts.
