I want a good flipper.

customer service is difficult. and those sill screws drive me nutzo. the whale shark isn't for me. but the delta and socom are for me lol

the microtech part...

If you care about buying from a company that has good ethics and good customer service, Microtech is not the right choice.

Look up 0777 vs Matrix on google... all will become clear

Google?! You will just return results from Bladeforums lol!

Yeah, Microtech leaves a bad taste in a lot of guy's mouths (espicially Kershaw/ZT guys). That does not mean do not buy one, but I would not spend money on Microtech when there are so many other knives from other companies I would rather have.

If you're into the stilleto style knives, the Cold Steel Ti-Lite is a fantastic flipper. Toughest liner lock I've ever handled, and a darn good looking knife to boot.

I have seen some stuff about the 0777 vs. the Matrix but that didn't bother me that much, and I have not had to deal with the customer service from Microtech but I don't really like when a company does not care about their customers.

I do like the Ti-lite and it is on my list of things to get next time I am at the Cold Steel parking lot sale.

and it's not the only model flipper he makes

i think his cheapest ones are the ones with G10 bolster like the bottom one and the ones with the solid carbon fiber bolster like this one.

they are $325

all hand made with CPM154 steel and titanium framelock. The price moves up when you add a titanium or damascus bolster

he has a forum here. WDZ knives

it's not something you can just pick up. Email him and ask him if he'll make you one, or give you dibs on the next one he makes.

They're not easy to come by. He's making mine with Damascus bolster, satin blade, marbled carbon fiber and all blue accents now... it should be ready this week.

And now that i think about it, i think my price estimate for the base model might have been too high. Research on his forum. There's a pricing thread in there somewhere, cause mine is only costing 335

Well I am going to go check that out and when you get yours upload a picture to this thread because I would like to see what it looks like when it is done.

Smoothest production flipper ever made. Kershaw tilt. They pop up on the exchange once in a while and they are in your price range. Thay are well worth the money for the Vanax 75 and CF.

Couldn't agree more. I have quite a few flippers and the Tilt is buy far the smoothest and most fun. The Tilt is also just an extremely nice, functional, well-build knife. Crazy ergonomic and a "wonder" of engineering. I also have the ZT 560 and I can recommend that knife, but it's a knife you can always get later. It's just not nearly as fun, unique, interesting, or cool. And even thought they have the same KVT system, somehow the Tilt is a lot more smooth. It flies out much faster and with much more ease. As for sticky lock bars, I believe both of these knives are carbodized. I can't speak for other peoples' 560's, but mine has perfect detent and I love both of these knives because either the carbodizing or the lock geometry (or something) makes the locks smoother than I can understand. I can flick them out with as much force as I'm comfortable with and even try to push the lock bar over farther, but they still have absolutely no resistance whatsoever when trying to unlock them. You don't even feel a tiny bit of friction or a tiny "snap", they just open right up. No hint of stickiness at all. They're simply two of the most anti-sticky knives I've ever owned. But yeah man, I recommend both knives, but given what your budget is, find a TILT! They're so damn cool. Watch JDavis' videos of them on youtube.
