I don't like it when knives are to light weight, so no I'm looking for a knife that has some weight on it. it doesn't have to be a full metal construction, but I would like more than just some thin steel liners with plastic on the outside.

I want a knife with a lock that can be used with one hand. so no lockbacks.

I would like it to be american made, but it can be from other countries as long as it isn't china.

the price can be anything between 50 and 200.

I hope you can recommend me something.

I would like a knife that is about the same size as a sog flash 2, benchmade barrage or spyderco manix 2.

Three Sisters Forge Beast is a pretty hefty knife IMO. Its a little over $200 if you can find it used but well worth it. Its has full titanium liners and is a frame lock with a CPM s35 CM blade. I love mine to death and carry it everywhere.

The Spyderco Gayle Bradley is one of the sturdiest folders I've handled, and it's especially strong and well-made for the price. You could also look at the ZT 0200.

There's also the ZT0550, but I'm not sure how that sizes up to the ones you listed.

ZT 0300, this thing fills your hand real nice, titanium frame lock with a titanium liner and g10 on the other side, S30V steel for the blade and it's a design collab between ken onion and mick strider, can't really go wrong with it

If for EDC definitely one of the Zero Tolarances.

Very good value for money.
The 0200 and 0200 ST for example don't open as quick as an emerson but have the same steel (154CM) and cost much less

In South Africa a zt0200 sells for R2000 (about $250, shipping end export charges)
An emerson super commander sells for about R3500 (about $430)

ZT for sure, nothing can beat it's heaviness for the price....or discontinued buck strider 3/16 thick 4" blade, 9.5" overall, Bos treated ats-34. Crap, I almost feel like getting one myself...

Benchmade Adamas weighs something like 8 ounces. Might be a little big, but its got an axis lock, gets really good reviews, and weighs as much as a big hardback book.

I just got a Buck CSAR-T and IMO it's probably the strongest/ most heavy you'll find in a knife costing under $100.
But it's a handful.

The HTM Gunhammer is a brilliant and fairly hefty knife. The Kershaw JYD is a hefty piece that's also quite affordable.

What do you think of it
I have the fixed blade version coming in

I just got the folder yesterday, so I haven't used it. But I was very impressed when I opened the package. I was a little leary because the Buck/Strider line from a few years back were supposed to be heavy duty knives , but the liners were very thin.

Not so with this one... the liners are thick and match the overbuilt appearance of the knife. It has an ambidextrous clip and a very nice pocket sheath as an alternative carry option.

The blade looks like a tanto, but it lacks the sharp angle of a tanto and is really a hybrid of a tanto / droppoint ( if that makes sense).

The G10 scales are beautiful, very well done. I'm going to carry this beast on the weekend and see how pocket friendly a 9oz knife is.
