I want an advice for pants

there was an article in popular mechanics that compared the two. I will see if i can find it, but i remember the classic carhart work pants (not sure if these are them) felt heavier and stiffer, but both did well on the belt sander test.

I have both pants and love them both. I wear alot of the Cabelas and Carhart flannel lined pants. Arborwear makes great stuff.

Hi keith that would be great if you could find the info. One of the main reasons i looking at those pants is to wear them whill riding my bike. I want something comfy and same time can with stand a sort of a slide. Yes i do know its not leather but with the summer comming its better then Jeans. Same time it would be nice if i could use them for short hikes at stops. Norcal i read that the Arborwear supposed to be better from the cut between the legs for bushwacking.

I only have the Carhartts (they're trendy with skate kids here and cost a fortune so I have to get friends to bring them over from the States!) Good hard-wearing pants and a practical design, I like them a lot. I've found the main points of wear to be where the thick fabric is folded, such as at the ankles, tends to wear quicker than you'd think. I came off a push bike in my first pair, scuffed them worse than I'd imagined, but the double front certainly protected my knees some.

I've never had a pair of carharts, but the arborwear pants are just awesome!

One of the owners/starters of the company gave my boss and I a pair for doing some work on his house, they instantly became my work pants, and they lasted forever, even though I was working for a mason. And comfortable too.

The canvas is tough as nails, and they have some special design between the legs, that makes them more comfortable, and easier to spread your legs around a tree, if that is your thing, lol.

Two thumbs up for arborwear!:thumbup::thumbup:

It sound that i might as well toss a coin to dicide... Never heard anyone say anything bad said about both types. Thanks guys...
