I "want" GEC to make a fishing knife that has one particular feature!

Excellent point 2Dead ... if they put a combo hook disgorger/bottle opener (in place of the spey) on the dogleg trapper in 440C and added a lanyard tube or bail they'd be there with very little effort. Hope somebody from GEC sees this thread.

Good call on the GEC dogleg frame Trand.
They're halfway there if they use that pattern as a foundation for a fish knife.
And we'd need a really good fish shield to ice the cake.

do I hear a 2013 forum knife suggestion??

Just added to GEC's patterns to ponder is the farm & field & stream knife. This could be interesting :D

Anybody have any ideas about this new pattern? Hopefully, the GEC Gurus can shed some light on this new knife. Sounds very promising ... just the name gives me good vibe

Spent the day on a drive to see my granddaughter and spent a fair amount of that time doing a simulation (in my mind) of adding a bail to my Ben Hogan. I believe that I could have done it ... but getting the delrin covers and a scaler/bottle opener in a purpose built GEC is sooooo much better! I can hang on until this shows up on "collectorknives" - now I don't have to deface my Garnet Hogan.
